Alpe di Villandro - one of the most beautiful Alpine pastures in South Tyrol
Alpe di Villandro is a hiking region of more than 20 km² that extends from 1700 to 2500 meters above sea level. The highest elevation, 2509 m high Monte Villandro, is also the exact geographical centre of South Tyrol. Countless of hiking trails lead across the wide, flat Alpine regions, past rustic huts to secluded chapels and mountain lakes. Unique in South Tyrol is the panoramic view from Alpe di Villandro: ranging from Vedrette di Ries, the Dolomites and the Zillertaler to the Ötztal Alps, Ortles, Brenta, Adamello, Sella and Marmolada... the panorama is impressive.
