Sledging is very popular in South Tyrol. The region therefore offers numerous toboggan runs, be it for professionals or for beginners. Along the routes traditional alpine huts and guesthouses await you for a break. Sledging beneath the light of a full moon is a special experience, some toboggan runs are lit with torchlights.
Sledging in the Isarco Valley
In the Isarco Valley alone there are about 50 toboggan runs. From child-friendly runs of only a few hundred metres, to toboggan runs which are several kilometres long… here you'll find them all. Sledging in South Tyrol is full of variety! The new RudiRun toboggan run at the Plose which at over 10 km is the longest in South Tyrol shouldn't be forgotten.
Night sledging on the high plateau of Villandro
In winter, at the Granpanorama Hotel StephansHof we organise sledging tours on the floodlit toboggan run on the high plateau of Villandro. It is the second biggest high-alpine pasture in South Tyrol with flat alpine meadows and traditional huts, plenty of space for enjoying the genuine alpine pasture away from ski slopes and ski lifts.
